The Galactic Starcruiser and the New Show!

#265 The Derek Frank joins us again as we talk about Ryan's upcoming trip on the Halcyon on May the 4th.  We introduce a new podcast we are working on called "Living with the Landspeeder"!  Don't worry--we're not going anywhere--this will be a new show with content about Star Wars and Disney!  New trailers were released for Guardians of the Galaxy, Indiana Jones and Flash. And finally, we hear an epic story about Ryan's battle with this washing machine.  All this and more in episode 265! 

 

 

Disney Movie Sequels and the Super Bowl!

#264 The Walt Disney Company recently announced major cutbacks and layoffs but also teased 3 new animated movie sequels that we weren't asking for -- Toy Story 5, Frozen 3, and Zootopia 2.  Catron and Ryan reveal the plots for these new movies and what they think could happen.  

There's also a new Avatar experience coming to Disneyland and Pecos Bill's at Walt Disney World will likely be rethemed to a Tiana restaurant.  Maybe you will be able to get beignets and dole whips or perhaps a king cake milkshake!

This episode even has Super Bowl talk, so you know we are covering all sorts of goodness.

One Last Splash and the Department of Wonder

#263 Splash Mountain has closed at Walt Disney World and construction has begun for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Hopefully the changes and updates will be more than a bunch of screens. Thousands showed up to get one last splash and some even took home some souvenirs to sell on eBay! We also found out about the ghost named Billy who hangs out among the boats.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway opened recently at Disneyland and we talked about some of the differences compared to the original ride at Walt Disney World.

After our Disney talk, Ryan tells us about an immersive experience he had with his family at the Department of Wonder in Sugarland, TX.

WDW Nitro and Universal RAW Monday Night War!

#261 Derek Frank joins us for another episode to talk Disney and Universal as the two amusement park giants battle it out to see which franchise reigns supreme!  Disney released some discounts, the opening of Tron and removed paid parking at the resorts.  Universal strikes back by opening Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood ahead of schedule and announces a new kid's amusement park along with a haunted house in Las Vegas.  So much to unwrap and talk about.  There was also a new Ant-Man trailer to talk about, so a lot to discuss!

#259 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from iamGEEK! Chris is back as we record the last episode of the 2022. Catron tells us all about his recent trip to Walt Disney World the week before Christmas. The weather was perfect and everything fell into place except for some icy weather that got in the way. #257 Ryan is back from The Thing Conference in Orlando and a Walt Disney World Trip with a side of Legoland.  Hear about his latest experience at the parks and which theme park ended up being a bright spot in the trip plagued with illness, delays and hurricanes.  Is the magic gone? Ryan and his family found some magic along the way where they least expected it.  Can you still have a good time with all of the restrictions and reservations?  Are the apple fries at Legoland worth all the hype?
